It can support consumers scan items’ bar codes by themselves and do self-service settlement directly on the smart shopping cart .In addition , the smart shopping cart will do the loss prevention work in the whole shopping process .
So, how are these functions implemented based on the smart shopping cart system?
Firstly, the consumer scans items’ bar codes , the items’ name, weight, price and other information will automatically appear on the PAD screen of the smart shopping cart. In the whole process of shopping, the smart shopping cart is not a cold machine. It guides the consumer to finish the shopping process at any time and reminds the consumer to perform the correct operation when the consumer makes a mistake.
For example , in the shopping process , the consumer may forget to scan the items’ bar codes and directly put the items into the basket , then the weight sensor at the bottom of the smart shopping cart can immediately recognize and continue to remind the consumer to scan the items’ bar codes until the user completes the scanning actions.
Take another example, based on artificial intelligence, deep learning and other technologies, smart shopping carts can collect all consumption data of users from entering the store to leaving the store, and based on these data, accurate marketing to users can be achieved.
